Yamaha MCR-B270D
CD player, Bluetooth, 2x 20 W
The two units must be connected via the "System" connector on the back.
But Bluetooth is still not optimal via this system. When I use Bluetooth headphones from the same place with my mobile phone, I can almost listen to music in the whole flat. With the system, the reception barely comes out of the living room. It's probably because the system has been around for a few years and in this case the problem can't be solved with software updates because it's the hardware of the Bluetooth chip.
No Version 670 in a room with 70m2 is perfect. The speakers are connected by cable.
What is very cool about this system is that it simply continues to play the Spotify playlist even after it has been switched off and on again. That would be ideal, but unfortunately it has no alarm function. There is only a sleep timer, which switches the system off after a certain time. But there is no alarm clock. I have now looked in the MusicCast app, but I haven't found an alarm function either. Unfortunately, I don't know if Yamaha has other apps that would expand this function.

The silver and black models have a different price trend. Neither model has Alexa. Only the newer speakers, e.g. MusicCast 20, have this.
Aux in l+r present! red and white.
Yes, it works perfectly. That was also a main reason for us to have chosen MusicCast.
This question should be addressed to Digitec. By the way, the speakers of this system are mid-range. I operate the system with other, older speakers.
Hello Leaina The cable connections are screw caps. Did you open them beforehand in an anticlockwise direction, then plug in the cable from the side and close them again in a clockwise direction? Do not use the hole in the middle. The hole is intended for cables with banana plugs ;-) You can find a photo here: https://play-experience.com/test-yamaha-mcr-n570d-die-loesung-gegen-musikalische-langeweile/ Kind regards Horst
This works without any problems, analogue or digital. However, the receiver has no HDMI connections. You can connect normal speakers, simply observe the power rating and impedance.
Can I connect my Sony record player, PS-HX500, to this unit without any other connectors or devices?
Since the PS-HX500 has a phono EQ, it can be connected to the N470's Aux-1 via an L/R RCA cable.
You should find what you are looking for under Yamaha HiFi Components. The connection to the tuner is audio chinch to chinch cable.
The difference is in the amplifier. MCR-N870DAB also has PURE DIRECT and USB DAC. You can download the manual from https://ch.yamaha.com and read about these functions on pages 9/10. At the time, we decided on the MCR-N670DAB, with the network connection integrated into our LAN with NAS(our music collection). CD, internet radio, ... everything can be controlled via the app and works very well. We are super satisfied to date. Price-performance ratio for both Yamaha very good, functions and sound exceptionally good in this price range.
Yes, that works well! The AUX input of the stereo system has the red and white cinch connections. If you have a record player with a magnetic pick-up, you must connect an equaliser preamplifier between the record player and the stereo system. I use the HAMA PA 506 Hama PA 506 (Entry). Please note that good quality audio cables are essential, otherwise the result will be disappointing. I use the Goobay Plus Cinch - Cinch Kabel Goobay Plus Cinch - Cinch Kabel (1.50m, Premium, Cinch) and am very satisfied with it.
The original speakers can only be operated by means of a cable. For wireless transmission, external speakers must be purchased.
Hello, Sorry I can't check the length of the cables without dismantling everything. But I think there is at least 1,5 m.
Unfortunately, I can't answer this question accurately, it depends on the music genre, the room size and equipment, which floor, carpets etc. I use this system without SW and I am very satisfied with it. I chose the power of 2 x 65 W to operate the system without SW and to get a very good sound in the bass range. The system has totally convinced me!
Unfortunately, I cannot answer this question because I only use the hard-wired speakers. From my point of view, however, it makes little sense to use wired and BT speakers at the same time, because even if the BT transmission works without delay, the time of flight of the sound in the air (direct and reflected reverberation) has a disturbing effect either way, and in my opinion a good stereo experience is no longer given.
NEIN
Hoi Chrigel06 I recommend the page bonsaimachos.de. There you will find everything you need to know about your problem, and any other problems with MusiCast. So much in advance, it basically works well, but some points (which are not obviously in the BA) must be observed when integrating it.
There is nothing about the unit that would make it bigger, except the cables you want to plug in. The speaker connections stand out a little from the rest, but only minimally.
I don't need this feature myself, so I can't answer this question like that. In any case, I don't think the unit has such a recording button. It would also be new to me that you could record directly to USB, i.e. save. You would have to have a special recording device that offers this option. I can't find any such option in the operating instructions for the Yamaha.
Install the system correctly. Suspect that the system connector (cable between amplifier and CD player, with jack plug) is not plugged in or is not seated correctly.
Unfortunately, I don't know that ours runs via the Internet, but unfortunately the net radio no longer works and you can no longer download German stations from MusicCast.
