I can't control the volume on my N670DAB either via an external device (e.g. iPhone) or via the remote control. Have I overlooked a setting?

The two units must be connected via the "System" connector on the back.

Hello Mrs. Schumann, in order to operate all functions of the stereo system, the Yamaha MusicCast Controller App from the Play Store (Android) must be installed on the mobile phone. The stereo system must be connected to the router via WLAN (see operating instructions) and then the MusicCast App must be paired with the stereo system. And lo and behold, everything (really everything) works!

P.S. Batteries are ok, as the other functions of the remote control work.

Hello Mrs Schumann. I only operate my unit via the remote control, which works fine. Check all plugs and cables to see if they are plugged in well and test the batteries of the remote control. LG
