Samsung Replacement CI adapter 64pin
Samsung Replacement CI adapter 64pin
Hello S.daniele80, yes, the Common Interface Adapter works with the Samsung JS8080. I myself use it in a Samsung JS8580. I also recommend that you check that the latest firmware is installed. Another side note: When recording an encrypted channel, it is not possible to watch another channel that is also encrypted. In this case, the simultaneous recording and viewing of another programme is somewhat limited. In addition, I experienced 'interference' during recording when I wanted to watch a vdr-scrambled programme at the same time. So be careful when switching if the recording is considered important.
Unfortunately for compatibility you have to see if the connection port is right, or if you have the original one that is not working you can see the code written on it.
I'm sorry, I can't answer that.
Yes
I don't know, I have a 64 inch screen.
Sorry, I can't answer that. Recommendation: Ask the Samsung call centre
Hello, the CI adapter 64pin should fit all models. To be on the safe side, search the Internet or ask Digitec directly.
Hi, No, unfortunately this module does not fit your unit. It is intended for devices of the generation from F onwards. You can find your CI module under this link at Migros Customer Service. Samsung article number is 3709-001732: https://www.migros-service.ch/de/e/9000004400/samsung-ci-card-adapter-3709-001732 Unfortunately, this is not in stock at Digitec.... But it is at Migros. That's funny, because Digitec is actually affiliated with Migros ;-) If you go further down the page, you will also see the list of suitable models. I also recommend updating the TV's firmware if it is not already up to date. This solved a few minor problems with the CI module. I was also surprised that an update was available after so many years. So it is definitely worth checking. Have fun with it.
You can answer the question yourself by clicking on the link in the questions above. All compatible devices are listed.

Hello TheSams2009, As you can see in my answer to Anonymous above, see link, the article also fits your device. You may also want to read my other comments in the other replies. PS: Since the last software update, which even after all these years apparently still exists for Samsung TVs (I was surprised), the recording of encrypted channels also works better. Accidentally switching to another encrypted channel no longer leads to interference or even interruptions, this on my model JS8580 with a double tuner.
Hi, the following adapter is suitable for your device https://www.migros-service.ch/de/e/9000004400/samsung-ci-card-adapter-3709-001732 as you can see on the great Migros site (to which digitec also belongs). This article fits the following devices: https://www.migros-service.ch/de/e/9000011228/samsung-ci-card-adapter-3709-001791 I hope I have helped you, greetings Rookie Cookie
There are a few versions (pins positioned slightly differently, pins slightly lower, snap-in clip slightly different, ...). : The exact product number is missing here, so I am not sure which version is sold here. - the slightly more expensive version (if more than one is offered) seems to fit "curved" models. Only one thing helps : Samsung support and insist on getting the product number of the recommended replacement part. Then order exactly this one, or ask the dealers whether it is exactly this adapter. (Even if the support employee insists that all adapters are interchangeable, ask for the number of the recommended adapter ... only this one will work! only this one will work for sure! Ignore all function tests and assumptions of a defect ;) ) Best regards another-opera-of-spare-parts-boy
Yes, that fits.
Yes, fits well, no problem.
No, this is a replacement part for a certain Samsung TV model. As far as we know, it is not possible to make two CI+ inputs via an adapter if the TV only has one CI+ slot.
