I have this stick with OBS 24 running on an MBPro (Late 2016). Flawless lifestream possible. Before using it for the first time, I had to familiarise myself (importantly) with the software. But it works well now.
As long as the camera has an HDMI or Mini HDMI output, it should not be a problem.
The part is already a few years old. But I've never had any problems with it. But I mainly streamed my camera for Zoom calls.
Not really. The camera is connected via HDMI and the USB end belongs in the computer. You need an HDMI cable with the right connection for your camera: Full Size, Mini, Micro
It supports HDCP however I don’t know what is your intention. It supports so blocks streaming that is not authorized. At least this is what it does on my TV box. To get working search for reaper or splitter that will strip HDCP and then it works. I found mine at AliExpress. Cameras work 100% because you are the owner of the content. Not sure about PS.
According to the provider website: no. It says "unencrypted HDMI video sources", so the question is whether the console transmits unencrypted data. https://help.elgato.com/hc/de/articles/360028240951-Cam-Link-4K-Unterst%C3%BCtzte-Videoquellen
I use it to stream without any problem.
I don't know; I use a Panasonic TZ101; works fine with zoom without any additional software...
Hoi Yes, the sound is also transmitted. :)
Hello, it depends on the camera/setting, audio can theoretically already be accepted via HDMI on the Elgato Link. What kind of camera do you have?
You plug the stick into the PC and use it to record any device that is connected to the HDMI port. I.e. you can also record/stream your console stream whatever you want.
I have a MBP 2014, similar specs, and I'm convinced it works great with your computer: no driver is needed, and no heavy load on the CPU.
Yes, it is compatible with all GoPro's from version 3. But the question is whether it is compatible with your PC. It doesn't say anything about this, but I have the problem that my Surface Book 2 doesn't seem to supply enough juice via USB and there are always image freezes after a short time. This is apparently less of a problem with a desktop PC...
I don't think so... there's copy protection. You can record directly on the Horizon box, can't you? You can then output these recordings on any screen with HDMI. What exactly do you want to achieve?
I think the item is expiring. I have a stick like this for sale that has hardly ever been used. My son used it to stream with a GoPro. But he now uses a web cam. Worked well with our devices.
In any case, it works for me without any problems. (Macbook Pro 2018 with USB-C only)
Hi, The Out of Sync thing mainly came form software configuration. On some of them you have sliders to correct delays, but BEFORE THAT you have to find the option that let the Hardware Manage/Control it. You have some options in OBS and StreamLabs OBS. But also with your Audio Card. Don't want to spam with links here, but you'll have plenty of Youtube vidéos explaining it. hope this will help
Yes, but you will need a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable to connect it. Make sure you get a HDMI 2.0 compatible cable otherwise you will have breaks in the video stream. I took this cable: CSL micro HDMI 2.0 Kabel (2m, HDMI)
Yes, you just need to connect your camera at the hdmi output to the elgato cam link. You will probably need to buy an hdmi cable depending on the hdmi output of your Nikon
Yes, the Cam Link can be operated under MacOS Catalina without any problems.
No cables are supplied. You will therefore need a clicktronic Mini-HDMI (2m, Midrange) for the connection between the EOS R and the Cam Link 4K. It is also recommended to use the AC adapter AC-E6N and the DC coupler DR-E6 for continuous power consumption.
This one should do the job too. Also has an HDMI out. But without warranty (I'm a customer, not from Digitec) Elgato Game Capture HD60S+ (Xbox 360, PC, Mac, Wii U, PS4, Xbox One)
Looks like it. Apparently they don't have any more in stock and have ordered new ones from the supplier...
