The R9 Ultimate Rotary Shaver is designed for a comfortable shave with excellent performance. To ensure a pleasant shaving experience, innovative technologies such as the ComfortSpin shaving head have been integrated. The ComfortSpin shaving head is the innovation that allows the outer and inner cutting rings to rotate in opposite directions, enabling a comfortable shave. Additionally, it is the only model in the series equipped with a Turbo Boost function for quick use. Furthermore, it features LiftLogic cutting technology, which lifts hairs at all angles through multidirectional openings, allowing the blade to pull them down and then precisely cut them with the Dual-Track cutting system using its two cutting rings. To ensure that the shaving head can perfectly adapt to the contours of the face during shaving, all models are equipped with ComfortFloat cutting rings. With the help of the ActiveContour XL surface, the shaving heads can reach every angle of the face, and the HyperFlex technology allows the flexible 360° pivoting head to maintain maximum skin contact. The antimicrobial shaving head environment also ensures a clean, sensitive shave.

Der R9 von Remington benötigt verhältnismäßig viel Zeit für eine gründliche Rasur. Dabei muss der Rotationsrasierer selbst auf Flächen erst ausgiebig kreisen. An Kanten wie der Kinnpartie verursacht er im Praxistest dabei ein leichtes Schmerzempfinden.

Der XR1570 erweist sich als ein rundherum solides Modell. Die Rasur erzielt zwar kein optimales, aber immer noch ein gleichmäßig „gutes“ Ergebnis. Auch das Funktionsspektrum ist ordentlich und die Bedienung bereitet keine erheblichen Probleme. Anmäkeln ließe sich allein die ausgesprochen kurze Betriebszeit. Beim präzisen Trimmen des Barthaars ist außerdem der Kamm sehr praktisch.
