Merger LRF XL50 offers the next level in thermal imaging. The image produced by the new 1024x768 pixel thermal sensor features high resolution and detail. It is ideal for uncompromising identification of trophy animals. Silhouettes, anatomy and behavioural features of the animals are clearly visible and distinguishable.

High image sharpness over the entire magnification range 2.5-20x

Variable 2.5x to 20x magnification delivers improved focusing and object recognition at long distances. The HD sensor ensures a high level of image detail across the entire magnification range. The zoom changes either incrementally in steps of 2 or continuously for a FOV/magnification ratio optimised specifically for each situation.

The Merger LRF XL50 offers a wide field of view for easy scanning and spotting. Search landscapes in HD quality with a wide 14-degree field of view and optimal 2.5x magnification. The large format sensor enables the best FOV/magnification ratio in its class even at high zoom levels, up to 20x.

Detection range of up to 2'300m

The powerful lens combined with the professional 12 µm / 1024x768 pixel HD thermal image sensor provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard object of 1.8m height can be detected at a distance of 2300m in complete darkness.

Comfortable viewing experience with both eyes

The optical design of the Merger LRF binoculars is fully adapted to natural vision. It is normal for a person to take in visual information through two visual channels simultaneously. Seeing with two eyes is less tiring than seeing with one eye. This means better detection of small or faint objects and better performance in low-contrast scenarios than comparable monocular thermal imagers with the same technical level. The interpupillary distance of the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 62 to 74 mm to suit the individual characteristics of each user.
