Which model is better in terms of riding comfort? The model with attachment to the seat post or to the luggage rack? I have read that the suspension on the carrier model is very soft and that the bike is no longer easy to ride.

I have the seat with a bar carrier and my wife has the same seat with a luggage carrier attachment. We can't really tell any difference. The seat is very comfortable and stable.
However, for the e-bike with battery on the luggage carrier, only the luggage carrier version works.
