Looking for a scooter for the way to/from the station that is easy to take along. Hello, I live and work about 500/800 metres from the station, all flat. I am looking for an e-scooter (female, 53 kg) that is easy to take on the train. That is the only criterion. Merci for recommendations.
Hello, I've been taking it with me on the train to work for years. Fold it up and get in. It's a bit heavy to carry, but it can go up the stairs. I find it super practical.
Hi,
I own this model since March 2021 and it paid for itself allready. Its 13.5 kg and foldable. You can take it with you in the train and fold it under the seat. For some short travel (2-3 stations) I do not even fold it.
I am not able to reach its max speed (25km/h) since I am a bit heavy, I am 87kg, but I can reach around 23km/h. Regarding range, a full battery was enough for 25-27km when it was new. Now (after 2 years of use) it is about 23-25km. What this means in real life: I can go from Schlieren to Zurich Burkliplatz and around Burkliplatz with 1 battery charge. Also, I could ride it around Oerlikon (I have seen/visited 2 apartments) than to Hardbrucke, to Altstetten to see another apartment and then back to Schlieren with 1 battery charge. Also I am using it to go shopping to supermarket. If you will become a user, you will notice is that it will reduce your way from home to station, by a factor of 3. Like 10 minutes walking will become 3 minutes with the scooter.
If speed and range is not very important to you, you could take a look at Xiaomi Mi Essentials. It cheaper, it has a bit less power and range. But its still enough to ride it around the city. I have owned that from July 2020 until November 2020 when it was stolen.
The bigest difference between Mi Pro 2 and Essential is acceleration. Mi Pro 2 has real kick, it can accelerate instantaneous when you need, while the Essential is a bit softer at that. The second real difference is when you climb some steep walkway. With the MiPro2 I can go out of some tram stations (riding on the scooter) while Essential cannot really do it.
Hi, allso the scooter is cool and goes almost 30 km per hour, but it's not light, it's foldable but it's a few kilos.
