Is the V650 good for MTB trail riding with navigation and can you also load routes via Komoot, then it is also compatible with Strava? Has there ever been a software update?

Well, I've been using the V650 for over a year and can't say anything against it.
The routes are planned via Koomot and synchronised as favourites with the V650. Works great.
There are two minus points for the V650. Synchronising after training is tedious in between, so I uninstall it on the PC and then reinstall it, then it works again. What annoys me the most is that the battery of the V650 cannot be replaced, so the device is unusable after the battery dies. Currently, Polar does not have a comparable product on the market.

The V650 is suitable for MTB trails, provided they have been entered on OpenStreetMap.
The V650 is compatible with Komoot via Polar dashboard (internet browser), but you have to upload the route as GPX to Polar. An alternative to Komoot is Strava Routes.
