I took mine to the police myself (voluntarily) to find out exactly what the guidelines are....according to Herr.Hüllenhagen(is his service name), the problem is the lack of a disc brake,(at 25/kmh)😣but if it were 24/kmh it would be tolerable🤦♂️I inevitably also downloaded the app I mentioned earlier to correct this.....hemeans:
Pedestrian mode =16/kmh
Medium mode =20/kmh
Speed mode 24/kmh with increased braking force.
One more thing to mention is very clear:
Only on bike lane
WITHOUT PASSENGER NO MATTER HOW OLD/HEAVY

Actually, as already stated in the product description, this scooter is NOT street legal. However, I ride it almost every day to work and sometimes through the city of Constance. However, I don't know what the penalties are if the police catch me. There is an app (Xiao-Flasher I think, only works with an Android phone as far as I know) with which you can adjust the speed. You can flash the scooter up to 33 km/h, but you can also adjust it to Swiss or German road regulations. In Germany, the maximum speed would be 20 km/h.

In summary: To work, since I live in the village and there are rarely police on the way, I ride at 33kmh. When I go into a city, I flash my scooter to a maximum speed of 20kmh.

Officially, this model does not have a road permit. In Switzerland, you are only allowed to ride at 20 km/h on cycle paths or roads. Forbidden on the pavement🚫. Just don't get caught or ride sensibly!😎

This 25 km/h model has 3 riding modes that can be set on the handlebars.
- Pedestrian 🚶♀️
- D = Day mode up to 20 km/h
- S = Sport mode with 25 km/h

You should ride the eScooter on public roads on the far right, just as you would with a bicycle. If there are cycle lanes or cycle paths, these should be used. Astra Switzerland has published guidelines for this --> https://www.astra.admin.ch/astra...

As far as I know, 20km/h is permitted in Switzerland (purely electric without assistance). In the Xiaomi Mi app, the country of operation can be selected, i.e. Switzerland, and the speed is automatically set correctly. So there should be no problems with the regulations here.
