The Dakota 10 combines outdoor navigation with the user-friendliness of a touchscreen. This rugged device features pre-installed base maps, a highly sensitive GPS receiver, an image viewer, and much more.

It is dust, dirt, and shock resistant, as well as waterproof to IPX7 standards. Autorouting is possible with optional City Navigator maps. Geocaches, along with descriptions and hints, can be used. Additionally, it offers sun, moon, hunting, and fishing calendars, as well as tide tables.

The automatic track recording can capture up to 10,000 points, and it can store 200 recorded tracks.
