The A-S701 has gold-plated connectors for speakers and inputs. The quality of the individual parts and their interaction are decisive for the sound of each component. That is why Yamaha only uses high-quality components that have been carefully selected and tested. The A-S701 guarantees excellent signal reproduction even under demanding conditions - the mains transformer and blocking capacitors are specially manufactured, the loudspeaker relays have a direct signal path, plus single-point earthing and extruded aluminium heat exchangers. The A-S701 has both an optical and a coaxial digital input. The optical input is for the TV sound, the coaxial input for the sound of the Blu-ray player. The signal remains digital throughout, ensuring pure, dynamic sound from all sources - from sports and other TV shows to movies and concert recordings. You can connect two separate speaker systems in different rooms and switch between them or operate both at the same time. There are four connectors available, so you can select the right pair of speakers for each source at the touch of a button.
