Product details
The TL-SF1008P is an unmanaged switch with five 10/100 Mbps ports that requires no configuration and provides four PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports. It can automatically detect and supply power to all IEEE 802.3af-compliant devices (PDs). In this situation, electrical power is transmitted along with data over a single cable, allowing the network to be extended where there are no power lines or outlets.
Power over Ethernet: Four of the eight auto-sensing RJ45 ports (Ports 1 to 4) on the switch support Power over Ethernet (PoE). These PoE ports can automatically detect PoE-compatible network devices and supply power to IEEE802.3af Powered Devices (PDs). The electrical current is transmitted along with the data over a single cable.
Intelligent Power Management: Once the total power consumption of the PoE-powered devices reaches or exceeds 57W, priorities are assigned among the PoE ports. To protect the system from overload, a decision is made to distribute the power or to cut off the power supply at the port with the lowest priority.
