For mirrorless full-frame system cameras with Sony E-Mount. Weighing only 420 g, with a length of just 99 mm and a filter diameter of 67 mm, this lens is not only exceptionally lightweight and compact but also perfectly balanced on a compact mirrorless system camera. Combined with excellent image quality, the new ultra-wide-angle zoom lens is ideal for a variety of subjects such as landscapes, architecture, reportage, and family snapshots. The 17-28 mm offers a high F/2.8 aperture throughout the entire focal length range, as well as very good detail and contrast reproduction. The combination of ultra-wide angle, large aperture, and a short minimum focusing distance of just 0.19 meters (wide angle) makes the lens versatile and inspires creative, expressive image results. The new autofocus system is based on a quiet RXD stepping motor (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive), which focuses quickly and accurately on the subject. Thanks to the silent focusing, the 17-28 mm F/2.8 Di III RXD is particularly suitable for video recordings. The weather-resistant construction of the new zoom lens is protected against splashes and moisture. The front lens features a water-repellent fluorine coating that effectively prevents contamination from fingerprints or dust. Additionally, the 17-28 mm F/2.8 is compatible with various camera-specific technologies such as fast hybrid autofocus and eye detection AF.

Das 17-28mm F/2.8 DI III RXD ist mit einer Länge von rund zehn Zentimetern angenehm kompakt und dank eines Gewichts von nur 40 g sehr leicht gebaut. Im Objektiv befinden sich 13 Linsen, aufgeteilt in elf Gruppen. Tamron setzt hierbei auf drei asphärische Linsen, zwei LD-Elemente (Low Dispersion) sowie ein XLD-Element (Extra Low Dispersion), um Abbildungsfehler wie chromatische Aberrationen zu unterbinden...
- Das Tamron-Objektiv gefällt durch seine Kompaktheit und geringes Gewicht, bietet aber dennoch eine sehr gute Leistung mit hohen Auflösungswerten.
- Die unverbindliche Preisempfehlung ist relativ hoch, aber der Straßenpreis des Tamrons ist bereits spürbar gesunken.
Die Erweiterung der Brennweiten in den Weitwinkelbereich ist für die RXD-Vollformatobjektive mit Sony E-Bajonett eine sinnvolle Konsequenz. Auch bei diesem neuen Objektiv zeigt Tamron nachdrücklich, dass Spitzenoptiken für hochauflösende DSLMs auch von Drittanbietern kommen können.
