The lubrication of the bearing surface reduces friction and vibrations, thereby lowering overall power consumption. Due to the effortless, quieter rotations and robust construction, this reliable fan technology also significantly increases the lifespan of the fan. As the fan shaft rotates, high-pressure oil flows along the grooves of the bearing sleeve to create a thin layer of lubrication between the bearing surfaces. As the speed increases, the dynamic oil pressure rises, lifting the shaft off the bearing to produce smooth, effortless rotations. The herringbone pattern of the grooves helps to efficiently channel the lubricant and prevent leaks. Seasonic engineers have implemented a new design feature where, instead of cables, the back panel and the circuit board are connected by a copper plate. This groundbreaking solution not only reduces the likelihood of production errors during manual assembly but also improves the quality of the output performance.
