Gigaset Elements is a very closed system. You can couple a (single) hue bridge to switch on the light in the event of an alarm or via a motion detector. However, that is all. No compatibility with Logitech or Arlo. And the compatibility of Alexa and Google is wrong: you can only order the plug from Google and only activate the alarm with Alexa. No Alexa or Conrad Connect or Google Home scenario can be performed with Gigaset Elements.

Yes the connection to the Philips Hue Bridge is provided and can be controlled by remote control, motion sensor or alarm. Different rules can be used to create different functions.

I don't currently use the set, but I have had it in operation for several years and have never had any problems with the batteries. Of course you have to change them from time to time - but maybe twice a year or so, at least with the devices I used (door sensor and motion detector).

Does the motion sensor detect the pets?

Hello - According to Gigaset: The infrared motion detector immediately registers when someone moves in your home. In doing so, it is immune to small pets weighing up to about 25 kilograms. The motion detector sends the information securely to the Gigaset elements app on your smartphone. Hmm, so if I had a dog that was probably waist-high but as skinny as a bean and far under 25 kilograms, it would probably "recognise" it - or sound the alarm... Recognition as a pet is probably rather difficult with such sensors, a camera with logic behind it would have to be able to do that rather than an infrared sensor that is simply looking for movements...

The set does not include a remote control. So you always have to control the system via the app. However, there is an additional "button" element that can be freely configured. I ordered it and configured it as a remote control for switching on and off. Very practical.
