Product details
The Lumix GH6 represents the latest generation of compact system cameras with an MFT sensor. The new 25 megapixel sensor and new processor allow high-end video recordings with 4K 120p or 5.7K 60p in 10 bit. High-speed FullHD recordings are possible at up to 300p for impressive slow motion. For even more flexibility in post-production, Apple ProRes 422 HQ with 5.7K 30p is even available internally as a codec. The dual image stabilisation in 5 axes for blur-free shots now enables photos with 7.5 f-stops slower shutter speeds and high-resolution 100MP freehand images. The equipment is rounded off by the large OLED viewfinder, the swivelling monitor, double memory card slot and the weatherproof magnesium housing.

Reviews & Ratings
The Lumix GH6 is a synthesis of professional video and photo camera. No other MFT cameras with corresponding high-end video features or the latest MFT sensor with 25 megapixels are available at this price. And the lab results also speak in favour of the GH6. If you are not interested in video, you could take a look at the OM-1 from OM System, which offers less video and resolution at a similar price,...

With a price range from 890 to 8000 euros, there should be something to suit almost every budget. High-resolution medium and full-frame cameras offer top performance in terms of image quality. Robust, fast and excellently equipped cameras can also be found in the APS-C and MFT range...
According to our evaluation scheme, the Lumix G9ll wins the comparison test. In terms of image quality, it benefits from the higher sensor resolution. However, many photographers are likely to feel more attracted to the functions of the Olympus or OM System. The new OM-1 Mark II, for example, has Live ND and Live GND functions that no other camera manufacturer offers...

The Lumix GH6 is a synthesis of professional video and photo camera. You won't find video features like this anywhere else at this price, and such a high resolution on an MFT sensor is hard to find elsewhere. Especially as the laboratory results also speak in favour of the GH6. If you are not interested in video, you could take a look at the OM-1 from OM System, which offers less video and resolution...
If you don't mind the relatively large body, the Lumix G9ll is an all-round successful camera with leading image quality in the MFT range, extremely high speed, comprehensive features and strong video functions. Due to its slightly better features (especially in terms of autofocus), the Lumix G9ll is just ahead of the GH6 and thus wins the test...
- Very many video functions
- Weatherproof housing
- large viewfinder
- Autofocus not accurate during series
- Loss of sharpness in very low light
The Lumix GH6 is a real all-rounder. When it comes to photography, it is one of the best Micro Four Thirds cameras. Its particular strengths, however, are clearly in the area of video: here it scores with high image and sound quality, long recording times and an extremely wide range of additional functions...
