The Nintendo Switch OLED is technically slightly more powerful than its predecessor, but also costs significantly more money. However, it is the first choice for anyone who primarily uses the Switch in handheld mode. Those who only play via dock on the TV will be better off with the cheaper model.

- Bigger and better display
- Greatly improved stand
- All-round improved design
- No resolution or performance improvements
- Joy-Con drift remains a problem
The Switch (OLED) is the best version of the console. But it's a more difficult upgrade because there are no performance improvements. The OLED display is excellent and is complemented by a new stand and small improvements. Basically, current Switch owners won't buy a new Switch OLED and will stick with their Switch...

For around 350 euros, you get a lot of added value with the Switch OLED. In addition to the improved display, you benefit from some useful improvements such as the clear sound and the larger storage space. If you already own a Switch, you don't have to get a second one. The Switch OLED isn't quite the big hit - Nintendo hasn't incorporated enough innovations for that. The display is bigger and the picture is nice, the slight changes to the design and construction are nice. First and foremost, gamers who play in handheld mode will benefit from this...

Finally, the question of price and our assessment of who might find the premium model worthwhile: Depending on the dealer you choose, the OLED model currently costs between 350 and 360 euros, which is 20 to 30 euros more than the LCD model. For those who do not yet own a Switch, the small surcharge compared to the visually dusty LCD model is definitely justified, because the Switch library is undoubtedly...
