Cat 8.1 patch cables are designed for 25/40GBASE-T applications, with a transmission range of up to 30 meters and a transmission power of up to 2 GHz, which is four times the bandwidth of Cat 6A. They are suitable for 25/40G Base-T Ethernet networks (40 Gigabit) and are backward compatible. The Cat 8 channel link is 100% tested and includes an attached measurement protocol and serial number. Maximum bandwidth is 2000 MHz or 2 GHz. The new RJ45 Cat 8 connector meets industry standards and features 50µ gold-plated contact surfaces. This double-shielded LAN/network cable includes pair wire shielding (PIMF) and total shielding (braid). Length indication is provided on the slimline bend protection sleeve.
