Test Report

18 Pepper Mills 01/2016

Pepper tastes best when you grind it fresh. This does not work equally well with every mill. The heart of the 18 models in the test is a cone grinder made of ceramic or stainless steel. The testers examined 14 manually operated pepper mills and 4 electric models. Some mills do not grind the peppercorns finely enough. Not all of them are break-resistant either. Only four scored well overall. Test winner: a classic pepper mill.
