Test Report

Hiking poles tested

They provide more surefootedness in the terrain. The hiking poles we tested can be pushed together or folded. But which ones are robust, safe and lightweight? Modern trekking poles should provide a secure grip on rough terrain and take the strain off your knees. Stiftung Warentest tested seven telescopic and five folding poles against each other. We tested how comfortable the models are when hiking, whether they are easy to adjust and transport and how safe and durable they are. The test winners were convincing in all tests, but we also found one inadequate model.
