COMPARISON TEST - 5 electric blankets

Some are made of wool that stores a lot of warmth, others are made of only moderately warming materials such as polyacrylic, polyester and the like: cushions and blankets, albeit in all imaginable shapes and colours, are present in really all households in the Federal Republic of Germany. Their wonderfully soft material alone invites us to throw ourselves into the upholstered furniture for a minute and linger there, enriching the cosiness of the moment with a bit of literature, music or other media delicacies. But when the temperatures outside become harsher and you would prefer to watch the goings-on in the world from the vantage point of your ever-warm living room, electric heating blankets and cushions are of immense value: Within just a few minutes, they radiate an ever-increasing warmth and convey an all-round pleasant atmosphere, regardless of whether you snuggle up with them in a couch or armchair niche or somewhere else. While the focus of electric blankets is on well-being, heating pads can also serve another purpose: The heat they radiate at specific points can also alleviate muscle pain, for example in the muscle areas around the cervical and lumbar spine. These muscles regularly tense up, especially in people who spend many hours a day sitting. We have now tested 5 electric blankets and 5 heating pads.
