Winter is hard on the hands: The cold and the heating air dry out the skin - it tightens, flakes or cracks. Hand creams are supposed to protect against this. But which products really help? Stiftung Warentest tested 17 hand creams for dry skin, including products from Body Shop, Nivea and dm. Most of them care well. But only a few are absorbed quickly. The test winner is 20 times as expensive as the test runner-up (prices: 0.68 to 30 euros per 100 millilitres).
