6 Belgian waffle irons in comparison test

Belgian waffles are a speciality of Belgian culture and, in contrast to the heart-shaped waffles that are more widespread in this country, they are much thicker. Both Brussels and Liège waffles can be made with an appropriate waffle iron; while Brussels waffles are rather soft because of the egg dough used, Liège waffles are firmer and much sweeter because they contain hail sugar in the batter.
