Test Report

Ten contact grills in comparison

Years ago, electric table grills were still infamous as hot plates, cooking often took forever; the prepared food was usually pale and dried out, but not juicy and certainly not provided with beautiful grate impressions. That was doubly unfortunate, because delicious food from the grill is not only a welcome treat on New Year's Eve, but thanks to its independence from the weather it has an unbeatable advantage in general. However, a lot has happened: the manufacturers have been busy, the engineers too, and so modern table barbecues not only come with a lot of power, in different colours and shapes, but even with entire barbecue philosophies. There is a suitable grill for every user, although you should first get an overview, as the market is somewhat confusing and it is easy to buy the "wrong" grill.
