The models differ in the number of tooth cleaning programmes and intensity levels.
Both models are supplied with the following accessories: - 1 handpiece - 1 charger (charging station) - 1 travel case The main difference lies in the number of brush heads supplied: - HX6859/29: Contains 2 W2 Optimal White brush heads - HX6857/28: Contains 1 W2 Optimal White brush head
Unfortunately, the travel case is just a cheap plastic holder without a charging option. As I previously had the more expensive SoniCare (until it broke after 2 years), I tested it with its travel case, but unfortunately it is not compatible.
The 230V cable of the charging dock is exactly 1m long. Greetings

Basically no problem in standard mode. Depending on the age of the children, it may be difficult to hold them. For children aged 3-10 years, I would recommend the Philips Sonicare For Kids. The children's brush heads also fit better in children's mouths.
only one charging station is included
Nur 1 Ladestation
For example, in the "Gum Care" programme, the sequence is as follows: First 2 minutes of cleaning (4 x 30 seconds*), then 1 minute of massage (4 x 15 seconds*) with a lower vibration frequency. * The vibrations are interrupted for a fraction of a second at a time.
does not really matter. I always rinse the part under running water and have never had any problems.
