The protection provided by a single application of Autan Tick Protection lasts up to 12 hours against ticks and up to 10 hours against mosquitoes. The active ingredient Icaridin ensures that ticks and mosquitoes are repelled. It is important to apply the product thoroughly; otherwise, mosquitoes will target the areas not treated with the repellent. After this time or as needed, you should reapply. We recommend using about 6 to 7 sprays or approximately 1 ml for the area of one forearm. Please note that Autan is not waterproof. You should renew the protection after bathing or swimming. The effectiveness may also diminish due to sweat and abrasion, so you may need to spray more frequently as needed. For application on the face, we recommend spraying the product onto your palms and then spreading it on your face, avoiding the eye area. Mosquitoes can also bite through very thin clothing, so the product can be applied under clothing as well. Thorough application is always crucial.
