We have a huge cherry tree , dropping cherries all summer long which makes a mess on the grass when it gets wet. Will the machine pick up the berries on the grass ? Many thanks
To my opinion not perfectly but with the leaves it makes a great job.
I also think that only some of the cherries are collected, the plastic rakes are too soft for that.
Probably not. I think the tines of the rotating rakes are probably too far apart for that. They are designed for leaves and if they were closer together, they wouldn't be able to "comb" through the lawn because the resistance would be too great.
I've had very good experience on lawns or grass that's not too tall, picking up leaves, grass after it's been scarified and small branches that have fallen from trees. I avoid using it if it's too wet! It's important to set the working height correctly.
I only used it on cut grass/leaves. From my observation, it does not pick up a lot small/dense things.
