Shredders turn branches, shrubs and twigs into mulch or valuable raw material for compost. However, only 7 of the 18 appliances tested in the Stiftung Warentest shredder test are good. At least some of them are inexpensive models. Three roller shredders did not pass the durability test...

Even softer greenery, such as may still be present on branches, can be processed effortlessly with this model, and the power consumption is moderate...
We judge the cutting quality to be somewhat poorer here. This is not least due to the lower speed of the blade roller, which makes the shredder run a little more slowly. On the other hand, the roller shredder is available at a fair price.
