Why do you sell appliances with Schuko plugs in Switzerland? Two days ago it said "no; it comes with a Swiss plug" for "may be equipped with a power adapter". Now it says "yes". 2 days ago I ordered the rice cooker; it was delivered today with a Schuko plug and without an adapter. A Schuko plug with an adapter is really bulky and not suitable for 3-way sockets.
you can simply write to digitec/galaxus that no adapter is included. they will even send it free of charge, without a minimum quantity surcharge. but send it from the beginning, no that's possible, they have to save the 2 francs.
Fir answer is quite simple. Digitec/Galaxus buys on a large scale throughout Europe. This means they are not dependent on the national mart and can push prices down. This benefits them and us. We just have to live with Schulo plugs and German keyboard layouts, but we get favourable prices.
I looked in a few Asian shops in Zurich, and unfortunately this model was also sold with a Schuko plug. So it seems that, at least in this case, it's not just Digitec/Galaxus.
But in general, the many devices with (partly undeclared) Schuko plugs are more and more a reason to shop elsewhere. I hope Digitec/Galaxus will counteract this at some point: low prices are good, but the Schuko plug surprises are a very negative buying experience.
Only for the best Rice for Asian origin people.
