The power consumption is stated as 3000 W - that would be approx. 13 A. Normal for household appliances is a maximum of 2200 W (10A). According to a previous enquiry, the 3000W specification seems to be correct. Does anyone have experience with this device? Can a normal socket/fuse withstand it?
We use the device every day and it is plugged into a normal socket. There has never been a problem. It is super fast and we are very happy with it.
A normal type 11 and 12 socket is approved for up to 10A. https://www.esti.admin.ch/inhalte...
And why do you ask "Will a normal fuse withstand this?". Just look in your fuse box/electrical distribution board. There you will find the best answer. There are different fuse sizes in terms of amperes.
If Digitec supplies this kettle with the correct plug, the chances of finding a suitable socket in a normal household where the plug fits in will be very small. see point 2 --> https://www.esti.admin.ch/de...
