Silly question, but can the water tank (the bottom tray in which the water is heated) be removed? If not, the water spills over the appliance when it is tipped out or cleaned (or makes cleaning much more difficult, as you have to be careful that the water does not run over the non-waterproof controls)
No, the bowl is firmly attached to the body (as shown in the last picture).
Although the water can be tipped out easily, cleaning is a little more difficult overall. However, the bowl doesn't get very dirty because each of the two shelves containing the food has its own base to collect juices etc.
