Does anyone have experience of using balcony glazing with a gap (approx. 5mm) from glass to glass? We want to have our vertical patio glazing cleaned all over. Is there also experience of using other cleaners (e.g. industrial) or do we HAVE to stick with Ecovacs? Thank you dear Community

A transit from one to the other glass won’t be possible due to the missing vacuum as @rolandsütt mentioned. I unfortunately can’t tell if it is able to detect and avoid the gaps by itself and I don’t have such a Glas surfaces available to test

The gap should not be a problem (for example, it masters joints in discs without losing the vacuum). In the worst case, it considers the gap to be the end of the disc and turns around. It won't crash under any circumstances, but according to the description it can manage such joints.
According to all the test and experience reports I have seen, it is the only cleaner that is any good. The workmanship of the robot is excellent and the base station is functional and logical.

I'm afraid the Ecovac is overwhelmed by this. With our staircase glazing, which also has a small gap, the robot doesn't recognise it and tries to drive over it, which results in it slipping off. The alternative is then remote-controlled (manual) cleaning
