I've been using the brush for 1.5 years on slab floors and have no problems with it.

We have had the hoover since August 21 and also use the parquet brush on the slab floors. So far without excessive wear or anything. Actually, the normal brush is already so good that you could get the idea of not changing it at all. The rest is the suction power, which you can change dynamically with the control dial depending on the floor.
