Very good coffee
After a lot of research, I got the Smeg BCC02 because my jura micra (ena1, I think) has worn out my patience for repairs. I was looking for a compact fully automatic machine and now I hope that it will give me pleasure for a long time - and good coffee :)
According to the settings I have chosen, it does this. I set the standard coffee to 100ml.
The coffee is fine, the 19 bar pressure certainly makes its contribution. One advantage, from my point of view, is that the water tank is slightly larger, although the dimensions are very compact. Removing the tank has to be done upwards - that is rather impractical for me, I have to get used to it. The machine makes a very good visual impression, the feel is very pleasant. I took the BCC02 (573 CHF) because the BCC01 in black was much more expensive... although the steam nozzle is included. I only use the nozzle for hot water (for tea drinkers). I have a separate device for milk foam. I find the noise the machine makes irritating. It's no louder than my Jura was, but it sounds strange somehow. But maybe it's just that I'm not used to it yet.
The machine switches off after 20 minutes, I personally preferred the 30 minutes of the Jura. The automatic rinsing process requires almost twice as much water as the Jura. The cleaning of the brewing unit is very easy and good to do (from my point of view a big + of the machine!) In other reviews I read that some were not satisfied with the temperature of the coffee - I can't confirm that - the coffee is nice and hot. All in all I am satisfied so far, if something changes I will add it here. The delivery from Galaxus was very quick, as expected.
