A rotating terry cloth roller is continuously moistened with fresh water and cleans the floor. The dirty water is picked up again from the floor and the roller by a rubber rod and collected in a dirty water tank. The unit therefore leaves hardly any water on the floor. The slight trace of moisture dries within a few minutes. This means that it can also be used on parquet floors. At the end of the programme, however, the appliance with the damp roller should not be left standing around on the parquet to avoid water damage.
Instead of using Virtual Walls (as with Roomba), the zone to be cleaned can be limited by means of the starting point and a special programme.
On robot-forum.com there is an active community with many DIY tips on how to get the best out of this device. Talented hobbyists can, for example, replace the batteries with more powerful ones to extend the operating time.
The operating instructions do not describe any maintenance measures for long-term operation over several years. The dirty water tank, for example, is difficult to clean and becomes increasingly dirty over time. Maybe this robot won't last that long, but at least it's cheap.
Ideal complement to a vacuum cleaner robot.

In my opinion, the robot mop cleans very well. It sucks up the dirty water in a separate tank. The conventional robotic mops spread the dirt all over the flat with one cloth, but this one doesn't thanks to the two tanks. Unfortunately, it doesn't reach the wall by about 5 cm, but I can live with that. It's a shame that there are no accessories to buy here, such as a replacement roller and rubbers (only abroad). I would buy the robot again, it's a very good household help.

I had a very expensive robotic mop before and you could always see the imprint of the wheels and you wipe the dirt. With the Medion, you can see in the dirty water tank how clean it cleans. I am very satisfied with the high gloss granite in the whole house. One minus point navigation (charging station). But for this low price it is justified and does its job very well.

This robot is simply brilliant! The autonomy is excellent and the washing results are perfect. The coverage of the space is very optimized. Unlike other robots that spread the dirt with quickly saturated wipes, this one sucks up the dirty water. A must!
Ingenious, if not unique system. The Medion robot mop is probably the only robot mop that mops with clean water and sucks up the dirty water. This means that you don't have to drag a dirty rag across the floor, as is the case with all other robotic mops. It doesn't get any cleaner.
Unfortunately, the roller is too soft to remove stubborn dirt.
The navigation is also outdated, so unfortunately it's not quite self-sufficient. I would like to see a navigation system like the roborock s6 or something.
