Enough housewives' praise has already been posted here. Now I'm going to give it a tough technical assessment.
Kitchen-Aid appliances are not exactly bargains; this American company has been paying a lot for its cult appliance for decades. For that money, I would expect more modern technology inside the new KSM125/175. Especially the way the speed control is done makes your hair stand on end. "Hybrid electronic" here means an electromechanical pile builder solution with a centrifugal governor like a steam engine on the motor axle that actuates a lever-adjustable flutter contact plate which then controls a triac that regulates the motor speed. A terrible solution ! In general, it is a rather outdated design that reminds me of an old Hoover hoover from the 1957s with its distinctive screw caps for the motor brushes.
The bigger sister model KSM7580 shows that KitchenAid can do it differently; there the speed control is done as I expect it; a Hall generator senses the motor speed at the motor axle without contact and then controls a motor control board with Triac. There is also a completely different motor and a gearbox with an inner planetary set, without a plastic worm wheel.
Incidentally, the unit is built in inch sizes and has American AN threads everywhere, which is actually another no-go in today's world.
Spare parts for repair are all available worldwide; of course, once again not in Switzerland; you have to turn to Amazon and order them over the Internet. After all, we are a nation of armchair workers. . and in the eyes of our general representatives we don't have to know what a screwdriver looks like. . . . .

It's a pity that Galaxus doesn't buy from Swiss suppliers or at least takes care of the customers and supplies a Swiss power adapter. Now you have to get an adapter first.
I can order directly from Amazon in Germany, get the same problem and it's even cheaper. Too bad, too bad.

Flawless device, but not yet fully tested.
What bothers me: I order from a Swiss company in Switzerland and receive a German plug with adapter. This is annoying. Have you ever tried to plug in several "lumpy German adapter plugs" to a 3-pin Swiss standard socket? That's right, you can only use one of the three sockets. If the socket is not easily accessible, you have to change the plug for each electrical household appliance, which is an absolute no-go for me and an impertinence.
Because if I change the plug to the Swiss standard, the warranty is voided.

I changed my B.sch Mum stand mixer to this. Compare the two it’s like heaven and earth. My KitchenAid stand mixer is everything what I want, strong, durable, very easy to work with, does perfect job and last but not least very pretty. And this is also very important because the mixer is heavy, so when you find the best place for it you’re gonna leave it there where everyone can see. So I think it’s also great that you can choose basically whatever color you want and fits to your kitchen.

I bought this KitchenAid for the birthday of my daughter, unfortunately she could not test the machine because again such a German plug is on it, and of course it is weekend and bad weather. Also there is no adapter in the package again and that for Fr. 583. Hello Galaxus can not you do better?. Am disappointed and annoyed.
