Simply wipe with a damp cloth and use a clean cloth to dry. It is recommended that you do not use any cleaning products, as this can corrode the surface of the product, and do not immerse it in water or place it in the dishwasher. If your grinder is difficult to grind, especially on the fine setting, try cleaning the grinder. Turn it upside down, loosen the knob to the coarsest setting, and turn the lid. This will release any large peppercorns or salt crystals that may have lodged. Turn the knob back to the desired setting. It is advisable not to put salt in your pepper mill, as this will corrode the carbon steel mechanism.
