After hatching, chicks have a high heat requirement and warm themselves under the feathers of the mother hen (mother hen). The heat accumulates under the feathers and the chicks enjoy the comfortable temperature.
The CosyHeat heating plate also works along the same lines. The chicks slip under the plate and rest in the cozy warmth beneath. They can snuggle up directly to the plate. In addition, the plate radiates the heat downward and a heat cushion accumulates. With the help of a rotary control on the plate, the temperature can be easily and continuously adjusted to the chicks' heat requirements. An integrated thermostat ensures a constant temperature under the plate. It heats until the required temperature is reached and maintains it. Because the warming plate does not heat continuously, it is more energy efficient than conventional radiant heaters. The height-adjustable legs make it easy to adjust the warming plate to the size of the chicks. Other advantages: Temperature adjustment by means of integrated rotary control; insulation for targeted heat dissipation downwards; energy-saving and more efficient than conventional heaters; safe 24V operation; with power supply unit for connection to a 230V power supply.
