Cool thing. The lamp system for the nerd. With it, everything and every conceivable and unthinkable lighting concept can be realised. It's a lot of fun to fill the whole flat with Hue.
For example, you can create a strobe effect that makes the whole flat flash before your girlfriend comes home. Then you know: turn off brutal films, turn off the pouf light, turn down the subwoofer, put Marvin Gaye on the stereo, turn on the relax bamboo light and provide massage oil.

I got into the Hue system a few years ago - and everything worked well even then. For some time, the iOS app was a disaster to use, but this has improved. Since all my E27 bulbs were still from the 2nd generation, I bought 2 pieces of the 3rd generation (which you can recognise by the golden lettering on the bulb). With the 2nd generation, I had already complained at the time that certain colour tones could not be displayed at all (e.g. light blue-turquoise), others only poorly (green tones). This was a nuisance in the setup with the Lightstrips, which had a much better colour reproduction. Now I can say of this generation that the shortcomings have been remedied and all colours are now displayed as promised. In my opinion, a much more intensive colour saturation is achieved across the entire spectrum. Installation and operation goes like clockwork as usual with Hue.
What I would like is for Philips to finally bring brighter Hue bulbs onto the market. If not in colour, then at least in white. Compared to today's possibilities, 806 lumens is too little. Only when bulbs in the 1500+ lumen league come out will it finally be an option to equip the entire household exclusively with smart bulbs.
Should we replace all 2nd gen bulbs? No, definitely not. I would only use the new ones in exchange where the desired mood could not be achieved with the old generation.

I use this light for a lamp next to the TV. Gives a nice, warm light there. It's connected to the Logitech Harmony. As soon as I start the TV, the lamp goes off so that the light doesn't disturb. I don't hear any buzzing.

The lamps from Philipps do not make any disturbing noises. At first, I didn't want to list this as a positive point, as I necessarily expect this from a lamp. Unfortunately, this is not the case with other manufacturers.
The Hue system switches quickly via the app as well as via the switch.
The light is even and as bright as you want it to be.
Since I also wanted some colour, I also bought from the coloured version. The lamps can be combined without any problems.

Excellent light bulb, integrated with apple Homekit, you can save up to 6 colors in the favorites, integrated as an ambient light, maybe I expected a little more brightness, but does not disappoint.
