The Taccia small LED table lamp

A table lamp for indirect lighting

Taccia small LED table lamp makes it possible to indirectly illuminate the desk or any other table and create light reflections. While the body of this desk lamp is made of aluminum, the diffuser is made of transparent blown glass. Another functional feature is that this LED lamp is dimmable with a switch. Designed back in 1962, the 48.5-centimeter-high table lamp has a body diameter of 14.2 centimeters, and the diameter of the diffuser is 37.3 centimeters. By the way, this model is also available in different colors, so it fits best into the interior.

Design as a family affair

For the design of the Taccia small LED table lamp Achille and Pier Ciacomo Castiglioni are responsible. Both brothers had in Milan. Subsequently, Pier Ciacomo Castiglioni together with the third brother Livio had opened a design office in Milan in 1938. Achille joined the brotherly office partnership in 1944. The brothers' big breakthrough in the world of design, however, came in 1939, when they designed the "Pholona" transistor radio, using the innovative material Bakelite. Livio, however, left the office partnership as early as 1952, so that Achille and Pier Giacomo continued to work as a duo until his death in 1968.
