A British radio station has been organising the game "Whamageddon" for several years. The rules are simple: whoever manages not to listen to the song "Last Christmas" by the band "Wham" during the pre-Christmas period wins. Actually an impossible task, even here in Germany. Christmas pop music doesn't have an easy time of it, as this game shows. For music lovers it is the epitome of kitsch, religiously musical people often associate it with the commercialisation of Christmas. This book shows that both need not be true.
