When the keyboard is switched on with the switch at the bottom, the LED of the last white key used normally lights up. When pressing one of the other white keys, the corresponding LED should light up or flash.
If nothing lights up at all, please check the batteries. Are they in the right way round? Insert new ones if necessary.
Otherwise the keyboard would probably be defective.
