Too bad, in that case it doesn't work on a Tamron 70-200 G2 either, can something break when trying ?

I have only tried it once with my Nikkor lenses - I couldn't even connect them because the rear part of the lens didn't fit into the converter.
In my opinion, nothing can get broken. In any case, the converter still works for me. So I think: if you do, you can only get mechanical defects if you try to screw the lens on with force.

I bought the TC for the Nikon D850 so that I can use it with the Sigma 150-600mm...Works tip top. Funnily enough I can also use my two lenses from Tamron (17-35mm and 70-200mm) with it...Autofocus works tip top.

This TC is intended for certain Sigma models; everything works perfectly with these; the list can be found on Sigma's webpage.

For other lenses (Sigma, Nikon, etc.) you have to carefully check and test this.

Sometimes it doesn't even fit together because of a mechanical conflict. So don't go at all and under no circumstances strangle!

Sometimes it fits together mechanically, but the electronic functions are only partially transmitted, e.g. focus works or not, aperture is controlled correctly or not.

So just try it out carefully and be happy if it works - and don't be disappointed if it doesn't work perfectly or not at all.
