ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 - OG OC Edition

Is this card the OC variant with higher clock speed ?
Yes, with the OG versions (as far as I could find out on the Asus site, the OG is simply thinner, so actually just a kind of facelift), the OC seems to be cheaper than the one without OC. Apart from the thickness, it is supposed to be identical to the TUF OC for currently 1699.
It is OC by 30 GHz compared with the Founder edition (2.550 GHz compared with 2520 MHz for the Founder), and the TUF Gaming OC version is at 2.595 GHz.
You'll never see that difference in-game. It's all smoke and mirrors.
The choice of a TUF or a Strix should be made on the basis of the controlled ventilation system, which ensures total silence and longer component life.
And on the quality of the components chosen and the production quality control.
Where brand X or Y 3080s had problems, Asus had made more serious choices on certain transistors and the cards avoided overheating and failure at the time.
In name only! This is actually a completely new card. It is based on a different PCB (3090) and has massively fewer VRMs. That's what a layman can see directly by looking at the PCB. Unfortunately, there are no reviews for this variant.
For me, the risk is too great at the moment. Especially because Asus hasn't exactly shone with quality lately. (4080 & coil whine, AM5 bios story etc.).
To be honest, I find it rather dubious to bring out a completely new, obviously slimmed-down version with a name that sounds confusingly similar.
