I would like to buy an RX 9070 XT. This has 3x8 PIN for the power supply. Now this power supply only offers 2x8 PIN for PCIe. The 600W Nvidia connector can probably not be used. What do you think, is it possible to use the graphics card with such a splitter? I would connect the first 8-pin directly, and the second and third 8-pin ports via the second with such a 1x8 to 2x8 cable. The reference design only uses 2x8 for the input, and is limited to 304W, so I think the power supply should be able to cope with this via the splitter. https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/powerguard-pci-e-8-pin-zu-2x-8-pin-dual-power-splitter-gpu-kabel-30cm-interne-kabel-pc-25346650?supplier=406802

Helpful answer

The power supply provides two 8-pin connectors for PCIe. You could use a splitter to realise the third 8-pin connection, but it is important not to exceed the total power of the power supply. The Radeon RX 9070 XT requires up to 304 watts, which is within the capacity of the power supply as long as the total load is not too high. Nevertheless, it is advisable to monitor the overall system performance to ensure that the power supply can handle the load.

It is possible to operate the RX 9070 XT with a splitter on a power supply that only has two PCIe 8-pin outputs, but it is not the ideal solution. You should make sure that the splitter is of high quality and that the power of the power supply is sufficient to reliably supply the card and the entire system. It is also advisable to monitor the temperature monitoring and voltage stability to avoid possible overheating or instability problems.
