The speakers are very good, the sound and the volume are very good for the price.

I also have the Audioengine A5+, which cost a good 300 more, but are much better. The accessories and cable lengths are also better. Audioengine also offers the A2+, but these are also relatively expensive. With the Audioengines, you can use normal speaker cable.

I have not measured exactly, but according to the technical data on the manufacturer's website, it is 1.5m from box to box and 2m to the PC.
