Question about S3422DW - 685935

Hi. I bought this monitor to attach to my old laptop, however, the laptop can't produce a display that's 3440 x 1440 pixels so there are large black bars on the left and right of the screen. Is there an adapter that I can use to fix this? My laptop has HDMI and USB ports only. Many thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,
The HDMI port on your laptop is most likely limited to lower resolution.
A solution would be to get a USB DisplayLink adapter with the DL 6950 chipset that allows this ultrawide resolution. We have the following device on our website that has the good chipset:
