Hi Digitec, According to information from Studerus, Generalimporteuer CH, this Zyxel VMG3006 router is not Swisscom-certified and is therefore not available in Switzerland. And that will remain the case.
That's the joke of the whole thing, the Swisscom certification is a purely political issue.
It was mainly about grey imports; if Zyxel itself is not prepared to pay for certification, then no grey imports should come into the country. Certification by Swisscom only costs around 3000. The way it works is that you simply wait until an ISP comes forward and is prepared to pay the amount because it wants to offer a certain router model to its customers. As far as I know, there is not a single manufacturer who is prepared to pay for certification.
