Question about HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen10 Plus
Hello together I bought this microserver a few years ago and am currently running it with an esxi 7.0.1 (hpe custom image). According to the description, the microserver has free PCI Express slots. Expansion slot: -PCI Express x16 (1x), PCI Express x4 (2x), PCI Express x8 (1x), PCI Express x8 (2x) -PCI Express version (max.) 3 Internal connection options: -PCI Express x16 (1x), PCI Express x8 (2x) Are there compatible network cards (min. 2500 Mbit/s) which are compatible with esxi? I found an Intel X550T2 at Dgitec, for example. But don't know if it is supported. Many thanks Greetings MB
Hi pijuschanda, thank you for your reply. How were you able to expand the RAM to 48 GB? Only 32 GB is supported in total. Thank you MB
I use this MicroServer with TrueNAS OS as a streaming server with PLEX. The only extensions I have made (RAM expansion + 32GB module) total 48GB and the HP MicroServer Remote Access Card to manage and start the server even when the OS is switched off.
I had problems with an X500-something (not sure if X550, but 500 series). I bought a HP-version of the X710 - "HPE Intel X710-DA2", this link: HPE Intel X710-DA2 (PCIe) and it works perfectly.
